Socar Chatmon-Thomas is a Real Estate Broker and Auctioneer. As the Broker/Owner of Elegant Estates by Auction she actively works with buyers and sellers in the Austin Metro Area. She began her career at Coldwell Banker in the 1990s, but later left to strike out on her own. As a top producer, she has received several honors for her work in real estate, including the coveted Omega Tau Rho award and ABOR’s 2016 Community Service Award. In 2008, she served as chairman of the Austin Board of Realtors and has been on their board of directors since 2001. In addition, she has served as a director for the National Association of Realtors since 2007.
Socar has personally experienced the probate process twice in the last 20 years, first in 1995 when her father passed away unexpectedly with a brain aneurysm and in 2001 one when her mother succumbed to cancer. As an experienced Real Estate Broker she knew what to expect during the probate process and how to help her siblings navigate the probate maze.
